D.I.Y Lace Panel Skirt

This is the perfect DIY for a rainy day, simple, easy, and quick!

I had this plain skirt lying around, that I picked up for 1 pound in London when I studied abroad. I usually don't wear colors too much and since its super plain, so I decided to do something with it to spice it up a little. To make it a little more fun, I added some lace panels, and it took me less than an hour, start to finish!

DIY Denim Leather Jacket

I saw this jacket in Urban Outfitters a while ago and couldn't help but think how easy it would be to do it myself, and save the 100$ that it cost. Lucky for me, I even had everything I needed laying around the house!

All you need for this project is:

a denim jacket or vest
a faux leather jacket
seam ripper
fabric scissors
pinking shears
black thread
sewing machine

Simple Shoulder Cut-Out Top

This is my mom's linen button down, which I found in the attic and decided to use. I've seen a lot of shoulder cut-outs on the web and think its a really great simple look. If you haven't already noticed, I absolutely love tops that have some sort of cut out, or are backless (like this collared shirt, or this cute tube top).

DIY Bubble Hem Skirt

Bubble hems are the next big trend this season. This bubble skirt could probably use a little more volume but it was so simple that I didn't want to mess with it. This DIY is even simple enough for beginner sewers and even those without a sewing machine! Its probably one of my favorite things I've made to date. The pretty blue and the black lace look amazing together, and even though I'm a little tired of lace these days, I think its a good addition. Read more to see just how easy and simple this DIY is!

Shoes That Make You See Stars

I found these plain old shoes in my closet today and decided I would do something with them. One of my good friends from school, Julia, asked me to do something with a galaxy print, so here it is!

DIY Glitter Heels

Glittery shoes are clearly nothing new, they've been in stores and all over Pinterest for quite some time now. They've been popping up so frequently that I decided to give it a shot. I found these not so glamourous white kitten heels, and despite their peeling soles and used look, I figured they would do!
A little bit of hot glue for the soles, and a little Mod Podge and glitter to spice things up and they now look as good as new!

Rorschach Inkblot Hoodie

Inspired by the beauty of the Rorschach inkblot test, I decided to embellish a plain gray hoodie I had. To create the Rorschach embellishment on the back I used the reverse appliqué process which I found here on the blog Sweet Verbena. My hoodie needed a little TLC but now its super cute!
